The CT-2G-18G from Maury Microwave is a Cryogenic Automated Impedance Tuner that operates from 2 to 18 GHz. It utilizes solid-state technology and is designed for use at temperatures down to 4 K. This impedance tuner performs noise parameter measurements on unmatched transistors or an existing low noise amplifier (LNA). It evaluates noise and gain circles with 4 impedance states, and determines the best impedance match that meets the design requirements. This tuner has an insertion loss of 3 dB and a repeatability of -60 dB.

The CT-2G-18G includes a built-in temperature sensor that ensures precise temperature monitoring and an integrated bias tee that allows for optional biasing of the device under test (DUT) source. This cryogenic tuner is driven by an external controller, which connects to the tuner through the included wiring, and is USB-controlled via direct SCPI commands. This impedance tuner consumes 0.2 mW of power. It is available in a module that measures 1.48 x 2.08 x 0.64 inches and has SMA (female) connectors.
