The AP5811SA from Sparklan is an IEEE 802.11ax/ac/a/b/g/n WiFi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.3 Module that operates at 2.4 GHz ISM and 5/6 GHz UNII bands. It delivers a data rate of up to 500 Mbps with a Tx power of up to 20 dBm and has an Rx sensitivity of up to -94 dBm. This module is based on a Synaptics chipset and supports single-stream spatial multiplexing with OFDMA (BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM, 256-QAM, 1024-QAM) for 802.11ax modulation schemes.
The AP5811SA supports Adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) for reducing RF interference and supports extended synchronous connections (eSCO), for enhanced voice quality by allowing for retransmission of dropped packets. It requires a DC supply of 1.8 or 3.3 V and consumes less than 1200 mA of current. It can be controlled via SDIO V3.0/2.0 (Wi-Fi) and UART/PCM interfaces for Bluetooth. This module is available in a WLBGA package that measures 7.9 x 7.3 x 1.1 mm with internal Xtal & Silver-plated RF shielding and has an external antenna interface. It is ideal for tablets, OTT boxes and portable & mobile device applications.
