The Type 2FP from Murata is a Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth LE 5.4 Dual-Radio Module that operates at 2.4 and 5 GHz. It supports SISO with 20 MHz channels delivering up to MCS9 data rates for Wi-Fi and a data rate of up to 2 Mbps for Bluetooth. This module has a Tx power of up to 18 dBm and an Rx sensitivity of up to -106 dBm. It is based on NXP’s RW610 Wireless MCU with a 260 MHz Arm® Cortex ® -M33 processor, 1.2 MB SRAM and 16 MB Flash memory. This module also supports Matter network over Wi-Fi, Thread, and Ethernet.
The Type 2FP has built-in security features like NXP EdgeLock™ Assurance, NXP EdgeLock 2GO Trust Provisioning and Trusted execution environment (TEE) based on Arm TrustZone-M. It also has hardware cryptography accelerators (symmetric, asymmetric, secure hash, KDF, etc.), a True Random Number Generator (TRNG) and a Physically Unclonable Function (PUF). This module can be controlled via SPI, I2C, I2S, UART, USART, SDIO 3.0, High-Speed USB 2.0 On-The-Go (OTG), GPIO, FlexSPI and IEEE 1588 RMII/Fast Ethernet interfaces. It also supports 16-bit ADC & 10-bit DAC interfaces and QVGA (320 x 240) LCD via SPI and 8080 interfaces. This module is available in a surface-mount package that measures 12.0 x 11.0 x 1.55 mm and is ideal for IoT applications.
